What is Acetate eyewear?

Acetate (cellulose acetate) is a plant-based plastic cut from solid sheets rather than injection-molded. Because color and pattern are built into the sheet itself, acetate delivers a depth of color, layered tortoiseshell effects and a substantial hand-feel that molded plastics cannot match — which is why it dominates premium and fashion eyewear.

How we make it

Our acetate frames are CNC-cut from sheets, tumbled and then hand-polished by our dedicated polishing team for a deep, even gloss. Premium lines use genuine Italian Mazzucchelli acetate. Temples can be reinforced with a metal core wire, and logos applied by laser engraving, hot stamping or a metal plaque.
